In my experience, the integrations that add the most value to a Genesys Cloud environment depend heavily on each customer's ecosystem and business requirements.

When it comes to CRM, I don't have a single preference. I've worked with customers using Salesforce, Zendesk, ServiceNow, HubSpot, custom-built CRMs, and also environments where more tailored integrations around Genesys Cloud were required. The best choice is usually the one that integrates most effectively with the customer journey, operational processes, and agent experience.

For communication and collaboration platforms, I personally prefer Microsoft Teams, although I've also worked with customers using Slack and Google Meet.

Regarding data and analytics, most environments start with the native Genesys Cloud dashboards, which work very well for day-to-day operational monitoring. For more customized analysis, especially when combining data from different systems or applying customer-specific business rules, tools such as Power BI and Tableau can add significant value.

Personally, I use the native Genesys Cloud capabilities extensively, but I have also developed my own platform to complement them, supporting analysis of users, queues, interactions, and Architect flows, as well as monitoring customer-specific business rules.

So, for me, the greatest value doesn't necessarily come from one specific integration, but from combining Genesys Cloud with the right tools for each customer's context, operation, and business objectives.

    Hi Kleber,

In my experience, the integrations that have delivered the most value in Genesys Cloud are Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow, and Power BI, primarily because they improve collaboration, operational efficiency, and business visibility.

Microsoft Teams has been particularly valuable for connecting contact center operations with back-office teams. The ability to collaborate quickly with subject matter experts helps accelerate case resolution and improves the overall customer experience.

ServiceNow stands out when organizations need strong ITSM and case management capabilities. Integrating customer interactions with incidents, requests, and workflows creates a more unified service experience and reduces manual effort for agents.

Power BI is another favorite because it extends Genesys Cloud reporting capabilities. While native dashboards are excellent for operational monitoring, Power BI enables organizations to combine contact center data with CRM, business, and financial information to generate deeper insights and support strategic decisions.

That said, I agree with Matheus that there is no single "best" integration. The most successful deployments are those where integrations are aligned with business objectives and customer journey requirements. Sometimes the highest value comes not from a commercial connector, but from custom API integrations that automate repetitive processes and provide agents with the right information at the right time.

For me, the real power of Genesys Cloud lies in its open architecture and API ecosystem, which makes it possible to build a truly connected customer experience.

Thanks for bringing up this great topic.

    Hi Kleber,

For us, one of the most valuable integrations has been Genesys Cloud with BMC Helix.

We integrated the ITSM process directly into the Genesys Agent Script, allowing agents to create incidents using predefined templates and information already available from the interaction.

We intentionally kept incident creation as an agent-driven action within the script, rather than automatically creating a ticket for every interaction. This helps avoid unnecessary or "ghost" tickets while still reducing the amount of manual data entry required from the agent.

The biggest value has been reducing context switching. Agents can remain within their Genesys workflow, select the appropriate incident type, add the required information, and create the BMC incident without having to manually recreate the interaction context in another system.

We've also found Data Actions and Genesys Cloud Functions really useful as building blocks for custom integrations where an out-of-the-box integration doesn't quite meet the business requirement.

Interested to hear what integrations others have found most valuable!

    Hi Kleber,

From a support perspective, I would say Salesforce has been one of the integrations that I've found valuable, especially when bringing customer information and contact center functionality closer together.

Having worked with cloud telephony and Salesforce-related environments, I've seen how an integration can help reduce the need to move between different applications and make the overall workflow more efficient.

One thing I've also learned from troubleshooting is that the value of an integration is not only about the features it provides, but also how well it is implemented and supported. When multiple systems are involved, understanding the call flow, integration points, and where an issue originates becomes very important.

I agree with the points already shared here that there isn't necessarily one "best" integration-it really depends on the customer's environment and business needs.

    Thanks for starting the discussion!

I totally agree with everyone that the value of an integration ultimately depends on the business needs and objectives. From my perspective, I see significant value in API-based integrations, as they provide the flexibility to connect Genesys Cloud with existing enterprise systems and automate business process.

    Hi Kleber,

At a really basic level for value there are two simple scenarios, data in to Genesys Cloud and Data Out. In both cases so the data can be used for decision making.

I can't really say one particular platform as we have integrated with many but for data in it's the CRM or system of record. Salesforce has probably been the most common single platform, however custom in house or no name CRMs added together are actually the most. The ability to easily configure Data Actions and occasionally Functions is so much faster than writing some JavaScript and easier to maintain.

Where Power BI is mentioned is normally downstream so the first stage is pulling data, then ETL, then the report, although as a tool PowerBI is the most common. I see a lot of change here once the Lakehouse query platform is in place to just access when needed.

You mentioned favourite though. Anything that has a standardised API that is easy to follow and provides an easy way to query for contacts details is the best start for identification models which most environments require.
