  • 1.  Filter Contacts in Calling List

    Hi there,
    i need to add a filter for my Campaigns that would not dial any records inserted the day before and only dial records inserted on the day it was added.
    as an example:
    on the 11/04/2022 i inserted 100 records of which only 80 was completed.
    the next day, 12/04/2022, i insert another 50 records, i need the campaign to only dial the 50 records inserted on the 12/04/2022 and not the outstanding records from the 11/04/2022.
    I am looking at adding an additional column in the calling list, DateInserted, in which i will add the date the record was inserted.
    i will then do an if statement in Call Flow, if DateInserted != current date, then mark contact as Uncallable.

    please advise if this is possible with Contact List Filters, if so, how do i achieve this?

    Hi Reginald, 
      I think you are going down the right path.  You will need a field in the contact list to use as the seed date.  After that you can use a filter or a call rule depending on what you want the action to be.  The filter will prevent the contact from being attempted in the dialer.  The Call Rule would allow you to take an additional action, say do not place the call.
    If all you are trying to do is prevent dialing of contacts based on the date I would do with the filter.

    However, I've only personally used the Rule option.

    Hi Chris,
    Thanks for your response, yes the aim is to prevent the contacts of previous day to be dialed.
    i have tried rule as well as filter but am not able to get it to work, the date inserted in calling list is in format = m/dd/yyyy (4/12/2022)
    are you able to assist with setting up either a filter or rule?

    Yes the format is very important. It needs to be in this format : 2022-04-12T12:13:03.677Z

    If it's not in the correct format the system will not see the value as a date, or maybe it fails on converting it.
    Either way it will not work in the call rule.
