Hey all,
I recently started with a new company, and one outstanding request is to find and delete all the screen recordings that they had in the system from May to September of last year.
I have searched through the API and don't really see a good way to do this. The best option appears to be a bulk job, which would also be the best in this scenario for deletion as there are likely hundreds, but I only see a way to include screen recordings, not find only screen recordings (It's quite possible there's a flag but I didn't see one that stuck out).
Is this something anyone has run across? Any tips would be appreciated. We can't dump all the recordings during that time frame because there are audio recordings we need to be able to retain, otherwise just dumping at a certain date would be acceptable here.

Hi,
It looks like there is a "screenrecordingState" object on the agent leg of the conversation detail query (the non analytics one). For my test, I noticed that i see this: "screenRecordingState": "stopped",
I wonder if you could try using the jobs export to retrieve all the conversations over the defined time period you're looking at and identify which one of them have a screenRecordingState object on them. If so, you could retrieve all of those conversation IDs and add them to a bulk recording delete job. Thoughts?

That's the only way I've been able to do it, although we actually use a socket listener to listen to the queues we care about, and as we're parsing the data that's one of the elements we look for to create a custom index of conversations with screen recordings for our QA department to reference.
The feature to do this natively has been in ideas since 2018 and in development for who knows how long. https://genesyscloud.ideas.aha.io/ideas/WEM-I-471

I think this is as good an idea as any. I'll give it a whirl!
