Well, first, you should not be using G.729 to begin with. OPUS is the preferred coded for Genesys and better in just about every way, especially when compared to G.729 that has horrible overtone management and drops all the lower tones. I think it uses standard 8-bit, 11.8 kbps, with 10 ms/frame and usually yields and MOS around 3.5 to 4.45. @David Van Milligan could probably add more insight, but please consider switching to OPUS.

Subject: G729 codec
Hi, it is not fully stated how G729 codec is negotiated. G729 can support different kind of behaviors (g729 with comfort noise packet, or silent suppression - annexb yes or not). Can you clarify how our SIP and media stack handles G729, where is it possible for example to specify G729 with annexb=no (standard SDP specification a=fmtp:18 annexb=no)?
thanks
