Genesys Cloud - Main

We have been requested to block/Filter out any non text messages that may land on the GC agent UI that may come from someone using SMS messaging on their smartphone..  Is there any option withing GC SMS messaging that may support this..  We are now using Twilio BYOSMS.. We also want to make sure that we do not have any issues with any non English language support..   Thank you

I don't know if we have a feature like that built into Genesys Cloud. While I haven't tried it myself, I wonder if you could have the message go through an Inbound Message flow and check if there are any non messages or check if the message only contains text and then either strip out the anything that is not text or block the message from being delivered.

I would also recommend that if you would like to see something like this integrated into the platform, you should submit your request through the Product Ideas Lab.

By default, SMS is supposed to be text only and not support file transfers, but many use SMS and MMS interchangeably.   For MMS, Genesys Cloud only displays .jpg, .png, and .gif media in the agent user interface, but it does receive all common media types.  The limiting of these through a Content Profile is in the works under this idea:  Allow Content Profiles for MMS | Genesys Cloud Ideas Portal.  I see this feature is due out end of January.
