    Hi Everyone,

    Genesys offers Warm BC Bundle based on hours with 3 types of deployment models (IVR only, Standard, and Replica). Please find below questions:
    1. BCP Instance Switchover from Prod instance is Manual/Automatic?
    2. Prod image replica (configurations, call flows etc...) to Warm instance is Manual/Automatic?

    Appreciate if someone provide right answers.

    Sri,
    Are you sure you are talking about Genesys Cloud CX? Your description sounds like an on-prem product (PureConnect, or Engage, although from the language, it sounds like the latter.)

    Hi Paul,

    Yes I am talking about Genesys Cloud CX BCP plans. Genesys Offers Warm BC Bundle (hourly based subscription), customer can choose either "IVR Only", "Standard Deployment", "Replicant Deployment" model.
     Questions:
    1. What is the switchover from Prod to BCP instance (Auto/Manual)
    2. Prod GC CX instance can be replicated covering Admin configurations, flows etc... to BCP Instance? is it manual or automatic

    Hi Sri

    I'm not sure about Genesys themselves but I believe a few partners have put together some BCP/DR org setup.  I've only heard this on the rumour tree though so don't quote me on that.  Where did you hear about these bundles?

    We have just set up a BCP instance (we only switch calls to the BCP instance) so I can answer based on our set up

    BCP Instance Switchover from Prod instance is Manual/Automatic?

     The switch over is manual. Our incoming phone numbers are with Verizon and we have access to a Verizon tool that we use to switch which instance the calls are sent to (standard instance vs BCP instance). Logging in to the Verizon tool and switching to the other trunk takes less than 5 minutes.

    Prod image replica (configurations, call flows etc...) to Warm instance is Manual/Automatic?

    Replication is not automatic, each instance is set up completely independent of the other, Our BCP instance is a simplified version of the Standard instance and only takes and routes calls, it does not have any evaluations, schedules etc set up, it is purely a way to take calls if the main instance is down.
