Hi Rajaram
This topic goes a bit beyond my direct hands-on experience, especially around IWD and government-specific deployments, but I can share a few general points that may help.
From what I understand, Genesys Cloud CX does not provide a 1:1 feature parity with IWD. In the cloud platform, many of the workload orchestration use cases are being addressed through Work Automation / Workitems and Architect-based routing, which often requires redesigning parts of the workflow rather than a direct migration of existing IWD logic.
Regarding compliance, Genesys Cloud CX is FedRAMP authorized at the Moderate impact level, which allows U.S. government agencies to use the platform under standardized federal cloud security requirements.
However, feature availability can sometimes differ in FedRAMP regions, since certain capabilities are released later or require specific licensing and regional support.
I hopefully someone with direct experience migrating IWD workloads to Genesys Cloud can add more detailed insights.

Subject: Genesys Cloud CX/IWD FedRAMP Question
I'm looking for insights on Genesys Cloud CX as we evaluate a potential transition from a Genesys IWD/on-premise environment.
Specifically, I'd appreciate guidance on the following:
• Does the cloud platform provide feature parity with the existing IWD/on-premise solution, particularly for routing and workload distribution?
• Is Genesys Cloud CX FedRAMP authorized with IWD?
• Are there any key considerations or limitations for government or regulated environments?
Thank you in advance!
