In addition to Robert's comments, it's important to be aware that hardware edges will soon carry a usage charge per month and in most cases it's not an automatic that Genesys will actually proceed with a local edge deployment.
I have heard comments that any physical Edge deployment for new Orgs has to go through somewhat of an approval process at Genesys. They're definitely trying to discourage on-premise going forward. Having said that, in my case other than for some specific BCP/DR use cases, and some SIP messaging manipulation that's easier done in a customer SBC/equipment I"m starting to see less and less of an argument for going to on-premise Edges. If anything, any outage my orgs have had within the last 6 months or so have specifically been BECAUSE they're on-premise Edges, since they're heavily dependent on customer networking - LAN/WAN architecture and health.

Subject: Genesys Cloud Edge Pairing
Hi,
We have received our new Genesys ORG Details. Currently we assume there are no more local edges and its only Central deployment model of Cloud Edges.
How can we pair the same, is there anything else needed that we have to ask Genesys Cloud Team. Our requirement is to just enable WEBRTC Phones and make internal calls for testing.
Regards,
Mahendra
