  • 1.  Genesys Cloud for Salesforce - InteractionUtility in Lightning App in full-height

    Hi,

I am trying to display the InteractionUtility component in a Lightning page (using Lightning App Builder). I built a page using layout with only one region and added the Genesys component. But it does not display in full height. It seems to take only 20% of height or so.

    Am I doing something wrong?
Is there any way to make it full-height? I can imagine it is, otherwise is seems useless to me.

    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

I don't think they build that into the Genesys CTI module.  I know we did with our Ttec OneView, but that is using the Lightening SDK and not just the CTI SDK.  It has the ability to create custom components that can be displayed in any interface.  The new CX Cloud offers more control and better integration with Lightening pages.

Simply put, you can't put the interaction utility into a lightning page; it needs to be deployed as a utility bar component because the utility is required to be a singleton.  If a user were to create multiple instances of the interaction utility, there could/likely will be negative side effects like missing new messages in a chat, script pages not loading (or not loading correctly), etc.  This is why there is no documentation regarding how to deploy the utility to a lightning page, while there are instructions for things like the journey component to be placed in lightning pages (the journey component is NOT required to be a singleton).
