While Microsoft Edge is based on the same Chromium engine as Google Chrome and supports Chrome extensions, Genesys does not officially certify Jabra headset compatibility in Edge! That said and as I mentioned, I can confirm that my Jabra headset is successfully detected and added in Microsoft Edge.
Additionally, On March 10, 2021, Genesys announced full support for Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based):

Besides, the only voice quality issue I've been able to find related to Microsoft Edge was raised in the Genesys Cloud Community Forum, and it dates to 2023:
I could be wrong but based on my understanding and from a technical standpoint, any issues are more likely related to the use of Jabra headsets in Microsoft Edge rather than with Genesys Cloud itself.

As you noted in the link, "Genesys Cloud does not support Jabra headsets in other browsers." So I would say its not a supported setup, but I will let others comment on their experiences using Jabra headsets and Edge
