Genesys has moved away (is moving away) from physical Media Edges. so if they have not offered a good monitoring/orchestration tool (and they have not), the chances they will do so in the future are probably not very good.
We have developed a set of monitoring processes and tools to monitor, alert and even take Media Edges out of service for our managed services client base. But despite this and due to overall flakiness, we have stopped deploying Media Edges to our clients because they are extremely flaky.
We also have inbound call failure alerting which alerts us and our BYOC clients to calls not being received by their physical (and cloud) edges, but again - that does nothing to help with the flakiness of physical MEs
I think the long term move is towards using cloud edges (which are luckily more stable).

I saw Genesys Cloud Monitoring into AppFoundry but anyway I saw it can manage notifications by SMS/Mail, etc.
