Hello everyone,
We are currently working on integrating a custom Third-Party TTS provider with Genesys Cloud for one of our customers.
We have already reviewed the available BYOT and Third-Party TTS documentation, but we still have two important questions regarding the implementation.
1. Does the Genesys TTS Connector expect a generic REST-based TTS interface, or is there a predefined vendor onboarding/certification process for custom TTS providers?
In other words, can any TTS provider be integrated as long as it implements the expected REST interface, or are there additional Genesys-specific requirements for custom providers?
2. Is there a technical specification describing the interface that the TTS provider must implement?
We are specifically looking for information such as:
- Required REST endpoints
- Expected request and response formats
- Authentication requirements
- Supported audio formats
- Voice metadata (voices, language, gender, etc.)
If there is any developer documentation, API specification, OpenAPI/Swagger definition, sample implementation, or any other technical reference available, we would greatly appreciate it.
Our third-party vendor is ready to implement the integration, but without a technical specification they would have to rely on assumptions and trial-and-error.
Thank you in advance,
Slobodan
