    Hi,

    We are currently developing a voice survey in Genesys, and we encountered an issue while trying to add supported languages. Specifically, we couldn't locate the Genesys Enhanced TTS engine as required.

    According to the Genesys Resource Center, the Enhanced TTS engine is free to use in survey flows and bot flows. However, when checking the Genesys AppFoundry, it appears that the TTS engine must be purchased, with a pricing model of $5 + $20.

    Could anyone clarify:

    1. How can we enable the Genesys Enhanced TTS engine for our voice survey without purchasing it, as the documentation states it is free for survey and bot flows?
    2. Are there specific steps or configurations needed to access it in this context?

    Any guidance or documentation links would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Anu,

    The charge for the Genesys Enhanced TTS engine is usage based. The pricing model you see is if it used outside of bot flows or voice survey flows. 

    To get access to it, you still need to "purchase" it on AppFoundry but the charge will only be applied for usage outside of the flow types I already mentioned.

    A few clarifications here.  

    1. Enhanced TTS is charged in increments of 1 million, so if you chose a $20 voice, once you use 1, you are charged for that million characters of $20.  
    2. All Bots (and Survey) require Enhanced TTS or 3rd-party TTS and the built in Basic TTS is not supported for them
    3. When TTS is used in a bot or voice survey, those characters are not counted towards the TTS usage since you are paying for the Bot usage.
