If you use a Virtual Agent you can have an AI Powered slot which has a Free-form format, if you want to go that route

Subject: Getting question answer in survey bot flow
I think I've found a decent solution switching to a regular bot flow and using slots to capture arbitrary responses.

Subject: Getting question answer in survey bot flow
I'm trying to build a bot flow where I can ask the caller a question and accept any response. I then want to perform some actions on the response that has been translated to text. The only way I've found I can do this is to create a survey and ask free input questions. But I'd like to know how I can access the response to the question? I have looked at QuestionResult, but that seems to only contain properties belonging to the question itself. I'd prefer if I could use a regular bot flow because that is more flexible.
