  • 1.  Group Voicemail Retention Policy

    I have few queries & I can't seem to find any relevant links in resource center and was wondering if anyone out there may have some idea about it to help me out.

     

    1. Retention policy for Group Voicemail

    I have a Group created in Genesys Cloud & I want to know the default retention period for the voicemails landing on that group.
    I explored the resource center but all I got is one article which talks about retention policy ACD voicemails (link- https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/manage-acd-voicemail-recordings/).

    Could anyone in the community please let me know if the retention period for group voicemails remains is similar to ACD voicemails, or it's treated differently?

     

    1. Restrict the members of the group from deleting Voicemails (Read access only)

    This is a major concern as whenever a group member deletes a group voicemail, it's immediately deleted from the group voicemail box & there's no way to restore a deleted voicemail.

    Could anyone in the community please let me know how this can be achieved?


    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    I would assume that the group voicemails follow the same rules as individual voicemails since they really sit in that box.  One option for problem 2 would be to have the voicemails emailed out to a distribution box that copies to a box that it now one of the original members of the group to allow you to archive all of the messages.

    For query#1, when you say that- "the group voicemails follow the same rules as individual voicemails since they really sit in that box" are you referring to the ACD voicemails here? Can you please share any link/doc which talks about this in detail?
    Also, I am curious to know if we can customize the retention period for these group voicemails ?

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
