Hi,

We have a requirement to display a "Guest is typing" indicator to agents during chat interactions. Could you please advise which API can be used to detect when a guest is typing?

Alternatively, if there's a more suitable approach beyond using an API, I'd appreciate your recommendation on how best to implement this functionality.

Hello Satya, 

If you are using web messenger this can be done in the messenger configuration, under Apps -> Typing indicators. You can turn on both "Inform end users when agent or bot is actively typing" and "Inform agent when the end-user is actively typing" 

If you are using chat I believe you have to work with notifications, which can be found here. But please be aware that ACD chats are Version 1 and 2 are now depreciated.
