    Hi Everyone,

    I am currently using Web Messaging and noticed that the default chatbot icon in the native web messenger client cannot be customized (as shown in the attached image). Could you please guide me on how to modify this icon

    Hi Samuel, 

    I believe the document refers to widgets in Multicloud CX rather than Genesys Cloud. Can you confirm if the information is still applicable to Genesys Cloud?

    Additionally, one of the threads mentioned that replacing the default bot icon with a custom one isn't possible unless the entire widget is built from scratch. My goal is only to replace the chat icon, similar to how we can customize the agent profile icon. I'm not planning to rebuild the entire widget using JavaScript and CSS. Could you clarify if this is achievable?

    Hi Karthik, 

    That could be my mistake, I thought further down in that thread there was discussions around updating web messaging UI in Genesys cloud.  It might be good to create a new thread in the Developer Forum to see if your specific requirement can be achieved or if it would require a feature request via the Genesys Cloud Ideas Portal

    Have you tried setting the Bot Avatar in the messaging configuration?

    I am unable to find the option to update the custom bot avatar. I can only see the option to customize the bot name. Am I missing something?

    The article Configure Messenger mentions that it's possible to customize the bot avatar, but it doesn't provide instructions on how to do so. Not sure if I am missing something.

    I am able to view the BOT Avatar upload option after adding the permission  Uploads > PublicAsset > Upload  to my user account. Thank you.
