I don't know your scenario, but thinking quickly, once you have the entry number, you know who the owner is.
I would create a data table with the key field being the DNS and a user column, or even two user columns (the second being a backup user).
I would create an entry flow and validate: the DNS X data table, sending it to user X. I would call an API to validate if the user is online/active or not.
If not, redirect to another user.
If they are, redirect to them.
