Thanks for the detailed list, as a recommendation I think you covered it all. I definitely use the practice exams, and I find them a lot more useful than the individual exam preparation documents. Doesn't mean the exam preparation documents are not useful, just that I personally benefit more from the practice exams for the reasons you mention

9. Don't Memorize Questions, Master the Objective

A common mistake is becoming familiar with the practice exam questions and thinking that familiarity equals readiness. The actual certification exam will often test the same objective from a different angle. Focus on understanding the underlying feature, process, or configuration rather than memorizing answer patterns.

10. Create Real-World Scenarios

When reviewing a topic, ask yourself:

"If a customer asked me to configure or troubleshoot this tomorrow, could I do it?"

Certifications test knowledge, but real understanding comes from being able to apply concepts in realistic situations.

11. Identify Your "Confidence Gaps"

Many candidates focus only on topics they score poorly in. I recommend also reviewing topics where you scored well but aren't completely confident explaining the concept to someone else. Confidence and actual mastery aren't always the same thing.

12. Teach the Concept to Someone Else

One of the fastest ways to uncover knowledge gaps is trying to explain a concept to another person. If you can't explain it clearly and simply, you probably need to revisit the topic.

13. Review Official Documentation for Weak Areas

If a practice exam highlights a weak area, don't limit yourself to the eBook. Spend time in the Genesys Resource Center and official documentation to gain additional context and understand how the feature works in production environments.

14. Develop an Exam Strategy

Many candidates prepare the content but not the exam itself. Before test day:

• Know how much time you can spend per question.
• Mark difficult questions and return later.
• Avoid changing answers unless you discover a clear reason.
• Read every answer choice completely before selecting one.

Another personal rule: Don't ask yourself, "Could I answer this question again?" Ask yourself, "Could I explain this concept to a coworker, implement it in a customer environment, and troubleshoot it if it failed?" If the answer is yes, you're probably ready for the certification.

I like #9 and would often make context cards for studying overall functional delivery. Nice share and great reminders for preparation.
