    Hi,

    Our customer has accidentally deleted PureCloud Supervisor and admin DEFAULT roles.
    Our team has opened a support ticket which took them a week to reply that it is not possible to recover or recreate deleted default roles.

    They suggested creating roles with the same name and manually assigning the permissions described in the PureCloud documentation.
    It took us quite some time to do this but now the customer is complaining that these roles do not have the Restore Default Permissions option anymore and is upset why does a system lack such basic functionality.

    I wonder if anyone had any similar experience with a solution.

    If not I will post it to the ideas site as it really is a required functionality.

    Genesys Support said they couldn't restore it? I had them restore two default roles a customer deleted a few weeks ago so I'm not sure why they told you that. Maybe there are certain scenarios where it's not possible?

    Personally, I don't think they should even allow default roles to be removed.

    As Erik said, there should be a private API call to restore the default roles. Did care give you any more info? Perhaps you need to prod them again to get more definition why it could not be done...I know I have had Dev restore stuff for me in my own Prod orgs when I messed them up.

    Thank you Erik, Thank you George.

    After pinging the support again along with your comments as a payload they confirmed that there is a way to restore them.

    The process is quite simple. I had to run the: 

    /api/v2/authorization/roles/default


    query from:

    https://developer.mypurecloud.ie/developer-tools/#/api-explorer

    developer site. It restored the missing roles instantly.
