  • 1.  How to set a number to answer with a message only

    Hi.  There is probably a very simple solution. We have phone numbers that are in individual queues that we want to have answer with a pre-recorded message and then hang up.  We don't want to transfer the call or allow the caller to leave a voicemail.  Answer > Play Message > Hang up.  Does the number need to remain in a queue to accomplish this?  How do we set up the phone # to answer, play the message and then hang up?  

    Thank you in advance for ideas/solutions.

    Karen,

    This doesn't even require a Queue!

    You simply create an Inbound Call Flow in Architect that plays the message and disconnects. Then route the number to that flow.

    Karen,

    I would begin by attending the training from Genesys Beyond.

    The functionality you are looking for is covered in the Architect class.

    I think you will find the GKN (Genesys Knowledge Network) helpful in your case, start here.

    Pairing webinars and short track videos found under the "Get Started" tab on the GKN with asking questions in the Community you should be able to find the answers you need.
