    The Q&A Show is excited to have Genesys' own Alan Lanteigne back on the program!

    Last time, Alan joined us fresh from an underwater scuba expedition for a double-header episode all about WebRTC, but this time he's talking about the soon to be released Hybrid Media Orgs functionality. What questions do you have for Alan? This is your chance to get them answered on the show.

    What is Hybrid Media Orgs? Hybrid Media Orgs provides customers with the ability to run cloud media (GCV/BYOC Cloud) and premises Edges simultaneously and seamlessly within an Org. GUI based tools allow telephony administrators to convert the Org to Hybrid and create and connect cloud and premises Sites with a new concept called "Site Links".

    Thanks Matt good timing as I'm looking at this for an org now.  A few sleepy questions here:

    1. What's the "best practice" or recommendation when it comes to where carrier trunks should be terminated in the hybrid model?
    2. What issues might there be with having trunks both into BYOC-C and BYOC-P?
    3. Are there any special considerations needed for WebRTC under the hybrid model?
    4. Anything to be aware of around transcription behaviour in a hybrid model?
    5. What intra-Edge (BYOC-C<=>BYOC-P) communication is required?
    6. Anything to consider with regards to DR/BCP in the hybrid model?

    I have a question since my management just asked about Virtual Edges.  Will it work with virtualized Edges in an AWS cloud?  Are virtual Edges still a thing?
