Hi WEM Community,
I've submitted a new Idea to enhance Shift Trade restrictions in Genesys Cloud WFM, and I'd really appreciate your feedback and vote if you see value in it.
https://genesyscloud.ideas.aha.io/ideas/WESCH-I-787
Today, Shift Trades provide great flexibility for agents, but there is no way to restrict trades based on workforce attributes such as:
Staffing Group
Rotation
Work Team
Work Plan
Contract Type
Other scheduling or compliance rules
This becomes a challenge for organizations that must comply with labor laws, union agreements, or internal scheduling policies.
For example, in Brazil, labor legislation prevents female employees from working two consecutive Sundays. Companies often use Staffing Groups or Rotations to build compliant schedules, but after schedules are published, agents can trade shifts in a way that breaks those rules.
This enhancement would allow administrators to configure eligibility rules that automatically prevent non-compliant shift trades while still preserving employee self-service.
Although my example is based on Brazilian legislation, I believe this capability would benefit organizations worldwide that rely on rotations, weekend fairness, union agreements, or other compliance requirements.
If this would help your organization as well, I'd really appreciate your vote and any additional use cases you can share in the comments. More real-world examples will help demonstrate the value of this enhancement to the Product team.
Thank you for your support!
