Hello. We are using messenger.

When we add an image in messenger, this image is added as an attached file,  rather than being copied into the body of the text. We waste time rechecking the attached file sent. In addition, copy/paste does not work, we have to use the attached file button.

Do you know if it is possible to configure it in order that the image should be copied directly in the body of the text? 

Otherwise, do you know if any evolution is planned ?

Hello @Catherine DUPIRE - assuming you are referring to Genesys Messenger, then yes it does support copy & paste of images from clipboard from End-Users.

Are you maybe expecting the same copy & paste from Agents? This is coming later this year.

I am referring to Genesys Cloud Messenger, the agent interface .

I understand it will be available soon ? Do you have an approximative target date ? 

Is there an idea in the portal referring to this feature ? I have not found any.

Hi Catherine,

The new messaging component beta will start in the upcoming weeks. If you did not register to it we can still add you in case you are interested.

The component will support copy paste from clipboard however we still handle the images and files as attachments. We will work on the generic rich capabilities of the messaging component after we released the first change. That can include image insertion.
