  • 1.  Interactions report export date field format changing 13 days into the report

    I just ran an interactions report and was compiling the data and customizing the views to see date and time in separate columns, and consistently after 12 days the formatting of the date field changes. 

    • the first interaction at the start of the month has a date stamp in this format 04/01/2026  00:12:00
    • 3917 interactions later the date format is still the same 03/12/2026  23:30:00 and on the next day/interaction the format is like this 3/13/26 12:01 AM 
    • this format continues until the end of the month 3/31/26 11:23 PM

    Same thing in February

    • the first interaction at the start of the month has a date stamp in this format 02/01/2026  00:12:00
    • 4809 interactions later the date format is still the same 02/12/2026  23:43:00 and on the next day/interaction the format is like this 2/13/26 12:03 AM
    • this format continues until the end of the month 2/28/26 11:55 PM

    What is going on?

    Could you share the export settings that you have used? Are you using CSV or PDF?

    The export settings that I am using are CSV as I wanted to open the data directly in Excel.

    Hi Conor

    I think this might be an excel issue and how it interprets the data.  I tested on my side and noticed the same.  When I did a export using pdf format, all the dates include AM/PM 

    You might need to play around for the format and see if you can change this in csv file itself.

    I agree with Stephan,  its likely to do with the locale formatting in Excel when it it gets to the 13th as it can no longer be a month, 4/12 could be 4th December but 4/13 has to be the April 13th.

    If you open the .csv in notepad, you can check if the date formats change in the export or if it is just Excel doing Excel things

    Hi Conor,

    We had this recently. It's down to the Language setting on the export. Time zone / your org location doesn't matter. Default is English (US) which also sets the csv date format in US MMDDYY date format. Change it to English (GB) and it should then show in DDMMYYYY format.

    That is the right answer, I changed the language to English (GB) and received the expected results. 

    I have to say I really appreciate the community at Genesys, I have found it to be a great resource!!!
