    Hello everyone,
     
    I'm curious to hear about your experiences with making international calls using the dialpad. Currently, before making an international outbound call, we have to use an external tool to search for the country code and then manually enter the complete phone number, such as '+6512342234' for a call to Singapore. This process feels inefficient and time-consuming.
     
    I'm wondering if others feel the same way and whether a built-in feature that automatically provides the correct country code would be helpful to you. Or, perhaps you have another solution.

    Hi Rainbow,

    Unfortunately it is not generally possible to find the correct country code based on the number as the code is the only part that is unique.

    For example the UK has some areas with 10 digit numbers. France has similar and both drop the leading zero when using international prefixes. At a country level they don't have to inform other countries of new area codes.

    So if a user dialed 163512345 (made up number) this could equally apply to France or UK or potentially another country.

    Similarly if we take 4044132000 do you want Gorgia State University in the USA or The International Centre for Public Policy in India?

    Use External Contacts which will allow the agent to type in a number or a name and see matching contacts, then select the right one to be called.
