We're excited to share that the Genesys Tempo mobile app will soon support internationalized date and time formats, improving usability and accuracy for our global customers.
Currently, Tempo date and time formats are tied to the display language. For example, English defaults to U.S. formats, which can cause confusion for users in regions like the U.K. where the same language uses a different format. With this enhancement, Tempo will automatically align date and time displays with the user's device locale settings, ensuring formats feel familiar and intuitive wherever you are.
For example, current U.S. formats such as Feb 11, 2024 will display as 11 Feb 2024 in the U.K., and 07/15/2021 will display as 15 Jul 2021. This update will apply across multiple Tempo screens, including schedules, shift trades, time-off requests, and notifications.
We know that using unfamiliar date and time formats leads to confusion, mistakes, and reduced efficiency. This enhancement ensures that all users can view and interact with time and date information in a way that aligns with their regional preferences, whether that's DD/MM/YYYY, or MM/DD/YYYY.
The general availability date for this update is November 17, 2025. The update applies to the Tempo app on both iOS and Android.
