  • 1.  Is there a limit to how many work plan configurations I can build for one business unit?

    We are currently transitioning our clients to Genesys from our old system. Due to how we schedule we would like to have each agent in their own work plan while we settle into the new software. Our next program has 232 agents. Am I able to create a work plan for each of these agents or is there a limit? Thanks!

    Yes, you could but that would defeat the entire purpose of having WFM in the first place.  You may as well just put schedules in manually if you are not going to let the WFM optimize your workforce for the best occupancy to meet your service level goals.  What is the reason for each having their own plan?

    It's because of the way we currently schedule. We are transitioning how we schedule to a way that works better with Genesys but it's going to change our entire culture, so it will take time. In the meantime, we are trying to stick to what's familiar while we work on trouble shooting other issues while transitioning over.

    Sometimes it is easier just to pull the band-aid off quickly or tie that tooth to a door knob.  I would suggest you introduce the shift plan bidding coming out to Monday and let them choose they one they prefer

    The current non-adjustable limit is 500 work plans per management unit.

    Yes, 500 work plans per Management Unit is a hard limit.

    Good morning,

    To ensure optimal efficiency, it is recommended that you create work plans for all shifts that have been forecasted throughout the day. Staff can then bid for these shifts, with special needs shifts being locked in as accommodations to staff requirements (these are exceptions). This approach allows for flexibility while ensuring that all necessary shifts are covered. Does your entire staff have specific shifts that need to be set in stone?
