  • 1.  Is there a way to change to the older Dashboard UI

    Customer is asking if there is a way to change to the older UI version for the dashboard. I ready somewhere there was a feature but I cant find it. If not is there still a way to change the background?

    Hello Jason,

    I'm not aware of any way to change back to the new UI. During the beta period, admins could change between the two versions of the UI but to my knowledge, there will be no way to revert back to a different version, once the new UI is rolled out on October 27th.

    Hi Jason,

    Are we're talking about Dashboards, and not the general UI Jason referred to?

    In that case you can't change back to the old with black background, the best work-around is to force dark mode in the browser settings.
    There's an idea for it which currently is targeted for Q1'26.

    Hi Jason! If this customer still has at least one dashboard in their org/division in the old dashboard ui, then there is a workaround. Just copy any old dashboard which was not yet converted to the new UI. Then edit the widgets to create the desired design. And most importantly ignore the options in the bottom right corner.
    If all of their dashboards were already published in the new dashboard ui (accessibility improvements, light theme, more status widgets, improved sharing), then I'm afraid there is no way to bring any old looking dashboards back. 

    UPD: I just tested it myself and it worked. But again only if you have at least one old dashboard.

    Hi jason,

    Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to revert to the older dashboard UI. During the beta phase, administrators had the ability to toggle between the old and new UI, but that option was removed with the full rollout. Now, Genesys Cloud has permanently switched to the new UI, and the legacy interface has been deprecated.

    I wanted a dark background, and read online that  that, as a workaround, - forcing dark mode via browser settings can achieve that, but this is not officially supported and may not yield consistent results across all dashboard elements.
