  • 1.  Is there a way to copy and paste a action box onto a separate flow?

    I'm trying to copy actions from one flow task into another flow's task by copying the action boxes one at a time, but it's not working. Is this possible in Genesys Cloud Architect?

    For example, copy this action to a new flow's task.

    Hello Jean, 

    Let me know if this is what you are talking about but yes it is possible to copy actions between flows tasks in Genesys Cloud Architect. 

    It has to be in the same tab, meaning copy and pasting must be done within the same browser tab. Content cannot be copied between different tabs, when you refresh the clipboard content will be lost. You can use the "Back" button within the same tab to retain clipboard content. This allows you to copy and paste different flows. 

    Some limitations to note, you can copy up to 10 tasks editor actions at once. When copying tasks, architect will automatically rename them with consecutive numbers (e.g Task 1)

    Hi Cameron,

    I was looking to copy between two different tabs (between two different flows).  I would use the export file feature but I need to copy certain action boxes only onto the new flow.

    I will try this.

    "You can use the "Back" button within the same tab to retain clipboard content. This allows you to copy and paste different flows. "

    It would be a great feature, but unfortunately the copy function only works within the same tab.

    As others mentioned, it's only available in the same tab. There is an idea to improve this process, but it's currently in "Future Consideration" and unfortunately it has very few votes: https://genesyscloud.ideas.aha.io/ideas/SSAAOB-I-

    Hi,
    click the 3 dots, select copy, close your flow, open the target flow in the same tab, there you can paste it.
    You can copy multiple actions to the clipboard in sequence, and paste them in the target flow.
    For copying bigger parts of a flow I'd copy the containing task, remove everything I don't need and then copy this temporary tsk to the target flow. Or wrap the actions in a temporary decision block, specially when the target flow does not support tasks like in-queue flows.
