For us, the Plantronics headsets worked without. However, we use the Plantronics Hub software and it seems to have addressed some random issues related to headset oddities. "Seems", because we also updated BIOS, drivers, etc. in the attempt to resolve. The issues were intermittent, so very difficult to troubleshoot.

Subject: Jabra & Poly Headset Setup with Web RTC on Genesys Cloud
I need to provide our staff with Headset Setup Guides for WebRTC phone users but details on the Resource Center seem a bit light. In order to enable Headset Controls (answer/hang up/mute, etc.), here's what's out there:
- Jabra
- Genesys Cloud Desktop app – no Jabra software prerequisites are mentioned.
- GC Web Client app – Chrome users must first download & install both the Chrome Listener (from GitHub) and Chrome Extension (Chrome Web Store). Now that MS Edge browser is supported by Genesys Cloud (and is our preference), do these components still need to be installed on the workstation or are there later versions?
- Poly (fka Plantronics)
- Genesys Cloud Desktop app – Resource Center states that Plantronics Hub software must be downloaded & installed on each workstation (is this accurate or does it simply provide additional functionality?).
- GC Web Client app – Resource Center documentation doesn't discriminate between Web Client & Desktop (thick) client, only states Plantronics Hub software is required. Are there any browser extensions needed specifically for MS Edge?
Thanks in advance!
