The documentation and discussions I have had with individuals at Genesys has not been clear on how the Export path process works when it comes to the Amazon S3 bucket. Is this data exported to a customer owned S3 bucket or a one owned and managed by Genesys? If it does stream to a customer owned S3 bucket, then I'm confused on where the Data Extraction API comes into play?
My best guess is that it's streamed to a Genesys Amazon S3 bucket every 5-10 minutes then we utilize the Data Extraction API to interact with those files. It may become clear as day when I start the trial up, but I didn't want to do so if I need to stand up an S3 bucket before it can be used.
