    Summary

    Genesys Cloud is transforming our systems and processes to enhance customer and partner relationships. This will be accomplished by reducing the end-to-end sales cycle, expanding self-service for onboarded clients, and accelerating access to new products. As a part of this process, Genesys is planning on removing support for several Billing APIs and UI components as there will be new ones created and shared for partners to use.

    Effective Date

    Friday, May 29, 2026

    Tuesday, September 01, 2026

    Details

    Genesys Cloud is modernizing its billing infrastructure, services, and user interfaces. These updates will occur in the background and will not impact customers or partners except for the noted APIs. If you are using the specific APIs or UI components listed, Genesys will provide guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition. Otherwise, no action is required on your part.

    Customer Impact

    The Partner Billing Usage API is intended for Genesys Partner companies to create systems for customer billing of Genesys Cloud users, devices and resources, and AppFoundry applications. The replacement of the Billing System requires us to replace the API. The new API Explorer has a much richer data set for consumers to see their contracts, subscriptions, rate plans, invoices, quantity commits, balances, drawdown units and overages by billing period all in the same API.

    You are impacted if any of the following use cases apply to you:

    • You are a Genesys Cloud partner using the Partner Billing Usage API to monitor customer usage and generate invoices based on the API data.
    • You are a Premium Applications Vendor using the Premium Applications – Usage API – Individual Customer Subscription GET endpoint to access usage data for specific organizations subscribed to your application.
    • You are an administrator within an organization who uses the Billing & Usage UI to review organization usage, invoices, or download usage reports.

    Impacted Resources

    Billing & Usage UI: (Admin > Account Settings > Subscription)

    Partner Billing Usage API: /api/v2/billing/trusteebillingoverview/{trustorOrgId}

    Premium Applications – Usage API – Individual Customer Subscription GET endpoint: billable-vendor-usage-api.usw2.pure.cloud/v1/regions/{region}/organizations/{orgId}?appIds={appIds}

    Overall Customer Count:

    GET: https://billable-vendor-usage-api.usw2.pure.cloud/v1/regions?appIds={appIds}

    Usage per Customer within a Region

    GET: https://billable-vendor-usage-api.usw2.pure.cloud/v1/regions/{region}/organizations?appIds={appIds}

    Individual Customer Subscription:

    GET: https://billable-vendor-usage-api.usw2.pure.cloud/v1/regions/{region}/organizations/{orgId}?appIds={appIds}

    Hi @Chris Fischer & @Isla Taylor & dev team

    First of all, thank you for sharing this update.

    We are currently using the existing Partner Billing Usage API as the primary source for our  billing platform, and we are already planning the migration to the new Billing APIs.

    We have one question regarding the transition strategy.

    When the new Partner Billing APIs become available on September 1st, 2026, will the current Billing Usage API continue to operate in parallel for a transition period?

    Our intention is to:

    • Run both APIs in parallel.
    • Compare the usage and billing data returned by both platforms.
    • Validate that data generated from the new APIs match our current production billing.
    • Perform a controlled migration of our internal billing systems without impacting our customers.

    Could you please clarify:

    1. Will both APIs be available simultaneously after September 1st?
    2. If so, how long is the planned coexistence period?
    3. Is there an announced deprecation/end-of-life date for the current Partner Billing Usage API?
    4. Are there any recommendations or best practices from Genesys for partners to validate data consistency during the migration?

    Having a parallel validation period is very important for partners with automated billing systems, as it allows us to ensure data integrity before switching production to the new APIs.

    Thank you very much, Juan Fco.

    Hi Juan,

    Yes , current Partner Billing Usage API will be operational for certain period, but it will not provide any usage for the billing periods that falls after launch date. The New contracts and Billing API will provide the usages of the billing periods that falls during and after launch date.

    • The APIs will coexist but the usage information splits based on the billing period.
    • Currently we are providing masked data for the new APIs, this should help you to build your integrations.
    • After certain period , more information on the deprecation of the Partner Billing Usage API will be shared.
    • You should be able to validate the subscription information from both APIs.

    Hi @Saikamal Paradi  @Isla Taylor, team dev

    I have just received the communication below from Genesys regarding the new Contract & Billing APIs.

    According to the announcement, the production launch of the new Contract & Billing platform, and therefore the availability of the associated API endpoints, has been postponed from the originally planned September milestone to March 1, 2027.

    Could you please confirm that our understanding is correct and that the production availability of the new Contract & Billing API endpoints has indeed been rescheduled to March 2027?

    If confirmed, it would also be helpful to understand whether this change has any additional implications for partners, particularly regarding migration planning, testing timelines, or any milestones that we should consider before the production launch.

    Thanks in advance for your confirmation.

    Best regards,

    Hello Juan Francisco, your understanding is correct. The production API endpoints have been rescheduled to March 2027.

    Our long-term vision and commitment remain unchanged. This is a timeline adjustment-not a change in direction or investment.
