  • 1.  Maximum Consecutive Scheduled Days

    Hi,

I'm having an issue with the Max consecutive scheduled days function in workplans.

The scenario - a member of staff contracted for 4 days per week (6h paid) but with a constraint that they only work a max of 3 shifts in a row, then have a non working day. The member of staff is on a 4 week rotation.  For 2 weeks in 4 there are 5 potential days that can be worked and for the other 2 weeks there are 6 days for the system to pick from.

The max consecutive days function seems to be limited by the Min Scheduled days per week (weekly constraints tab) - if I set the min shifts to 4 then the lowest the consecutive days will go to is 4.  If I set the min shifts to 3 then I can set the max consecutive to 3 etc.  I've set the weekly paid time in the weekly constraints tab so it should schedule the right no of hrs, but it seems counter intuitive for it to behave in this way?

Has anyone else had issues with this?

    Thanks

That does not seem correct behavior to me either. On the work plan configuration side and the scheduling side it should allow lower max consecutive scheduled days. You can open a support ticket and note that engineering is already aware of the issue. We have created an item to be tackled that will address this and tentatively plan for this to be resolved in two weeks.
