Yes, this is possible, but it typically requires a few pieces working together. For the Media Helper side, you can configure the Genesys Cloud desktop application to run as a WebRTC Media Helper and set it to launch automatically when Windows starts. Many organizations handle this through startup settings, Group Policy, or software deployment tools so users don't have to manually launch it each day.
For authentication, SSO is really the key. If your identity provider and Genesys Cloud are configured for SSO with auto-redirect enabled, users can often authenticate seamlessly using their existing Windows or corporate credentials. In a VDI environment, the common approach is to run the Media Helper outside the VDI session while the Genesys Cloud client runs inside the VDI session. Once both are configured with SSO, the experience can be largely automated, allowing users to sign in to Windows and have the necessary components start and authenticate with minimal interaction.
