  • 1.  New Passkey Feature turn off

    We use Microsoft Authenticator for MFA, we do not want users to have the option to use the New Passkey Feature.

    Is there a way to turn off/disable Passkey as one of two options? leaving just the time based option

    From what I could fine online, it does not seem like its possible to disable the passkey option when selecting the type.

    Just to clarify before jumping to conclusions:

    • Are users authenticating via native Genesys login with MFA or through SSO (Azure AD / Entra ID)?

    • Are you trying to fully prevent passkey enrollment, or just remove passkey as an MFA option, leaving only time-based codes?

    • Does the passkey option appear for all users or only non-SSO users?

    Knowing where the option shows up (enrollment vs login) will help determine if this is configurable or IdP-controlled.

    Hello,

     

    We are currently using Native Genesys Login MFA, Timed Based Generator (Microsoft Authenticator)

     

    We would prefer not to use Passkey, currently Passkey is working (enabled already) with users that have some sort of Administrative Role/Permission.

     

    Current Call Center Agents do not have the option to switch to Passkey. But I have not tried a new user to see if it appears or not.
