    Has anyone worked on the new Polycom VVX series, specifically the VVX 350? We are starting to roll out the new devices and I see that PureCloud does not have them in the managed devices just yet. Have you had any success programming them with another base device? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!!

    We had to setup our Polycom Trio 8500 phones as generic SIP phones, because PureCloud only supports the Trio 8800. Using a similar base won't work, because the model string is checked. PureCloud support for Polycom phones has not been getting much attention at Genesys.

    Hello Daryl & Sven,

    Additional phone support is on the way.  We are in the final stages of testing against the new line of VVX models as well as additional AudioCodes phone models.  The launch will be noted on the Edge & Media Tier Release Notes page, so please subscribe to notifications there to be kept up to date.

    While the Trio 8800 is supported, the Trio 8500 is not in the soon-to-be-released package at this time.

    Thanks for the update Alan. The lack of support for the Trio 8500 is disappointing, it's been available for more than a year. Since it is almost the same as the 8800 (from PureCloud perspective there should really be no difference), I don't understand why you don't support it.

    Will you include updates to the supported firmware, or add the ability for PureCloud admins (like myself) to update the firmware version that the edges push to the phones?

    Just a side note to that last question, Sven...updates to the Polycom firmware have already been added to the Edge, but they are still working on a slight hiccup that is preventing the edge from pushing the updates to the phones.

    The VVX firmware version will be 5.8.1.7278 when it pushes.
