  • 1.  New UI Navigation & Communication Feedback: Menu vs Search

    Posted 7 hours ago

I'm interested in understanding how others are navigating it in practice-are you primarily using the menu structure or relying on search? From experience, search tends to be more efficient for quickly accessing different areas, while menus are useful when working within a specific section. The updated UI is certainly cleaner and more streamlined after the initial adjustment period; however, the addition of features such as favorites or pinned items could further enhance navigation efficiency, particularly for frequently accessed tools.
Additionally, I've received feedback from customers who are not fully comfortable relying on Community forums to track UI changes and would prefer a more centralized and official source of information. I'd be interested to hear how others are approaching this.

    Hi Satyabhama,

I mostly rely on search as well it's usually the quickest way to get to what I need, especially when switching between different areas.

That said, there are definitely times where I fall back to the menu, particularly when I forget the exact term to search for or when I'm exploring something less frequently used.

I also really like the idea of favorites / pinned items. I've voted for that as well and hoping it gets implemented soon, as it would make a big difference for commonly used sections.

On the feedback side, I agree having a more centralized and official place to track UI changes would be helpful, especially for customers who may not actively follow the Community.

What I like is that alternative search strings work - such as users finds people.... such a time saver.

It's the search function for me.  Saves time and can give multiple options with just one word in the search bar.

Both my clients and I strongly prefer using the search function. It significantly reduces the time spent navigating through menu structures

I only really use the search functionality as it just saves a lot of time instead of opening the sub menus.

On our end, it's the search function as well. Searching is more efficient. It's not always straightforward to locate the right sub-menu easily and get it right first time
