    Hello Community

    This is my first posting on this forum; please be kind :)

    We have created Genesys Messaging Configurations and deployed the JS code snippet onto a web-page. 

    We have two Genesys Orgs for development/production but I cannot seem to find anything to indicate how one can 'direct' the web-page code to the appropriate Genesys Org dev/prod!? is this somehow 'implicit' in the Messaging Deployment Key?

    What have I missed? :)

    Good Day Richard

    Welcome to the community.

    You will use the deployment key and the code snippet from the messenger deployment once created to the website.  This will then point to the correct Org.

    Hi Richard,

    My understanding is yes, this is handled by the Messenger deployment.

    Since you have separate DEV and PROD Genesys Cloud orgs, you would create the Messenger deployment in each respective org and use the generated snippet/Deployment Key for the corresponding website environment.

    So effectively:

    DEV Org → DEV Messenger Deployment → DEV snippet/Deployment Key → DEV website

    PROD Org → PROD Messenger Deployment → PROD snippet/Deployment Key → PROD website

    In our case, I haven't deployed the website code myself. We created the Messenger deployment in Genesys Cloud and provided the generated snippet/Deployment Key to our web team, who implemented it on the website.
