One thing that comes to mind is checking browser notification permissions.
Since moving from the desktop app to browser access, notifications rely on the browser rather than the native app. It may be worth confirming that browser notifications are enabled and that apps.mypurecloud.com.au (or your region-specific Genesys URL) is explicitly allowed in the browser's notification settings.
In Chrome/Edge, you can verify this under:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Site Settings → Notifications
You may also want to ensure OS-level notifications for the browser are enabled and that Focus Assist / Do Not Disturb isn't suppressing alerts.
