Outbound Calling

    Good day team

    Please assist with outbound calling.

    I have created a campaign and a contact list which is associated with the campaign. The dialing mode is preview with just one contact in my contact list as an example.

    I have also created a queue and assigned the queue to my campaign.

    I added the number to the external contact list as well. When I go to my external contact list and click on the phone icon I get an error a dailplan entry was not found for an outgoing call. I do not have an outbound call flow not sure if this should be created. I tried to create an outbound call flaw and associating my contact list to the flow I am not seeing where in the flow I should select my contact list: I followed this link: Create an outbound flow - Genesys Cloud Resource Center

    Question: How do you make outbound calls from the contact list in your campaign? 

    Previously I know that for as long as you have added the contact number in your external list we were able to Call the number.

    did you check you number formatting 

    make sure your format is the same as if you were to dial the number ,

    also did you try to dial the number off the campaign?

    Hi Neo

    also check your site has a number plan setup 

    as well as an outbound route



    please ensure classifications it set to the number plans you allow as well as the outbound trunk you use for calls

    Are you saying if I loaded a contact list with 100 numbers I must create a number plan with all 100 numbers to be able to call them?

    no you need a number plan that is in the correct format


    for national numbers we use the below



    for international we use the below

    also ensure the phone you are using is using the site with the number plan that you have setup

    just try to make a call to the number 

    if it does not call out from the phone follow the steps above

    Hi Ziyaad

    When dialing directly from the phone even when I have selected intra-country on my number plan I still get an error that error a dailplan entry was not found for an outgoing call. What is the correct format that I need to select?

    Other option I am placing an outbound call by just being on queue and clicking on begin call which dials from my contact list. I have created an outbound and associated it with my contact list.

    I have a transfer to number which is the number I am trying to contact (unless this is setup incorrectly). Not entirely sure how to setup an outbound flow the documents do not say much. 

    In my contact list I have my number added 0835982605. Once my status changes to on queue I am able to preview

    Answer then click on the number to begin call.

    However this does not connect me to the client (0835982605). What is strange is that its calling +10835982605 where is it getting +10 from?

    I then get an error that call request timed out.  What am I missing is there something wrong on my outbound flow or am I missing permissions somewhere?

    I can an error saying this number can not be dialed after changing the number to +27

    I have already shared a screen shot of my number plan and outbound route yesterday. Is the format on the number plan correct?

    Honestly the trunk cannot be the issue as my previous screen shot when simulating a call showed that trunk is operational. See below:

     There error is that a dial plan entry was not found for an outgoing call which is normally found on the site under number plans. I have selected intra-country as a match type and this option does not provide me with an option to specify a number. Number list option does provide an option to specify a number which is only 2-9 digits long and a mobile number is 10 digits meaning I can not use number list as an option.

    Caller ID: Phone Number- this should not be the contact number your calling it should be your company number

    If you are talking about after call surveys or the emailed surveys, a couple of things.  For the original sending of surveys, you do that through the recording policy where it can be assigned to calls that meet certain criteria and then you have a survey flow that can be customized to how and where to the survey is sent.  The after call is controlled with some tools in the call flow and a voice survey flow.  Both rely on the survey being built first.
