 My advice would be to spend extra time on campaign management, contact lists, dialing modes, rulesets, and troubleshooting, as these topics came up quite often.

Also, focus on scenario-based questions rather than just memorizing definitions. Many questions ask which outbound configuration or feature should be used in a specific situation. The questions can be a bit tricky, so read them carefully before selecting an answer, even when you think you already know it.

Pay special attention to:

• Campaign creation and management
• Contact lists and filters
• Preview, Power, Progressive, and Predictive dialing modes
• Rulesets and call analysis responses
• Troubleshooting outbound campaigns

If possible, get some hands-on practice in Genesys Cloud. It really helps connect the concepts and makes the exam much easier.

I recently prepared for the Outbound Certification, and my biggest recommendation is to focus on understanding how the Outbound solution works end-to-end rather than trying to memorize terminology.

Here are the areas I would spend the most time on:

• Campaign types and use cases: Know when to use each campaign type and the business scenarios they are designed for.
• Contact lists and contact management: Understand how records are loaded, updated, recycled, and managed throughout a campaign.
• Dialing modes: Make sure you are comfortable with the differences between Preview, Power, Predictive, and other dialing methods, including their advantages and limitations.
• Time zone and scheduling rules: These are important for compliance and campaign effectiveness.
• Campaign and list management: Be familiar with creating, configuring, and monitoring outbound campaigns.
• Outbound settings and best practices: Many exam questions focus on selecting the most appropriate configuration for a given scenario.

A few tips that helped me:

✅ Read the official learning materials carefully, especially the explanations and examples.

✅ Pay attention to scenario-based questions. The exam often tests whether you can apply knowledge in a real-world situation.

✅ Don't just memorize practice questions. Make sure you understand why an answer is correct and why the other options are incorrect.

✅ If you have access to a Genesys environment, spend some time getting hands-on experience with campaign configuration and management. Practical experience makes a huge difference.

One thing that surprised me was how often questions focused on choosing the best solution for a business requirement rather than recalling a specific fact. Understanding the reasoning behind configurations was very helpful.
