Ah... got it. It shows up as an input variable for the call bot action. I was coming at it from the originating flow, which is the wrong way.... same concept as a script variable here.
I think that other document could use more pictures and fewer words.

Each Bot flow has a data tool on the far left. Each variable you create can be used for input, output, or both. When you define one as input and publish, that will be shown in the bot tool in the originating flow. I'm reading through the below reference but can't make heads or tails of it. What I'd like to do is pass a string variable that I establish in an inbound message or call flow over to a bot. Is this possible? The Title of this seems to say yes, but I'm stumped.
