I'm trying to understand if, or how an Inbound Caller ID is, or can be transferred to an external trunk.
I've got a PureCloud customer where all their inbound calls first come through their Avaya system and are forwarded across a SIP trunk to the Edge appliances and the PureCloud call flows. For the call flows that transfer to and ACD Queue, the agents do see the Caller ID in their Interactions screens. So I know Caller ID being passed from the Avaya.
However in the PureCloud call flows, the callers also do have an option to transfer out to another systems for a specific information resource. My PureCloud call flow does an external transfer to an Avaya 4 digit number back across that SIP trunk and their Avaya system routes that on to the third party Enghouse system.
On an external transfer, does PureCloud send that original inbound Caller ID with the transferred call?
Is there something I should do with the SIP trunk configuration to make that original inbound Caller ID be passed on this external transfer?
I have worked a bit with UUI Data and see where I might be able to pass this Caller ID/ANI with UUI Data, but I don't think the Avaya will handle that.
Thanks for any advice.
