  • 1.  Possible version limit for messenger configuration ?

    Posted 6 hours ago

    Hello team

When saving a Messenger configuration in Genesys Cloud, I receive the following error:

"You have reached the maximum number of configuration version resources."

I could not find any documentation indicating that Messenger configurations have a maximum number of versions. The official resources explain how to create new versions but do not mention any version limits.

    Does anyone know :

    1. Whether a version limit exists for Messenger configurations?
    2. What the maximum number is?
    3. Whether old versions can be deleted or purged to resolve this issue? If a purge must be done how to proceed ?

    Thank you,
    Catherine

    Hello Catherine,

This is interesting, I want to immediately say that its sounds like you are hitting the max number of configurations you can have which is 50 but that doesn't seem right. I also took a look at our limits documentation and cannot see anything. If you are getting this error after a small number of versions then I would recommend opening a case with product support to look into it as well.

As for deletion you cannot delete individual versions of the messenger configuration, only the entire messenger configuration. I don't see an ideas in our portal either so this might be a good feature enhancement request as well.

    Cheers,

Genesys has a limitation of 50 configurations.  That is a soft limit and can be raised with a good business case.  I would first remove any configurations that are not in use and if you still need more, you will need to open a case with Genesys support to raise that.  They will not consider it without good reason.  This has nothing to do wiht the versions in each configuration.
