We hope to see some new pictures from this Halloween, so we've given you until the morning of November 1st at 9am est. to get these pics posted.

    Here's my post: 


    My husband and I dressed up in the fashion of "Dias de los Muertos" in 2019. We were inspired by the movie, "Coco" and thought it would be fun for our son who was very young at the time. This was in Wilmington, NC!

    I have a few. Most of my favorites are the DIY costumes I created over the years. But I have to start with the classic plastic costumes from the 80s. Here's one of me as a witch(?) with my dad, brother and our dog.

    And then a few later in life.

    This bonus question was inspired by the latest episode of the Genesys Cloud CX Q&A Show, where our guest expert @Gemma Alvarez talked about her family's costume from last year, which was...well....kind of on theme...I mean Batman had to fight a pirate at some point, right? But really fun group costume all the same (check out the episode for the full story). Gemma, don't forget to take a shot at the trivia challenge for the chance to win a prize and thanks for the inspiration and great demo!

    I just had to add this.  On Friday, my daughter decided she wanted to be a minion with her friend.  Two rolls of duct tape and 5 cans of spray paint later, they came up with this.

    I had some goofy costumes as a kid - including Sprout, the Jolly Green Giant's little partner, which earned me a "greenest costume" award. However, I am unapologetically delighted with how the costume I DIY'd this year turned out, so much so I may be wearing it for years to come. Fun fact: On the way to a party last weekend I wore it into the gas station and no one batted an eye. Living in a weird city rules.
    The few pictures I have don't really do it justice, but here I am in all my ridiculous glory...

    I was always a horror geek. When I was a kid, while others were assembling car or airplane models, I was making Dracula, (my fav of all time) Frankenstein's Monster and the Werewolf with glow in the dark heads. Since I am apparently too old to have picture documentation of my awesome Dracula customs, I have to move on to my son and grandson. I wish I could find the pic of my son's tornado costume I made him, since he was obsessed with weather and still is but sadly it is not handy. As my alternative, here is a favorite of mine when my daughter thought it was great to dress my grandson as a teddy bear.

    This is going to be terrible...... I have ZERO pictures of me in a costume! I have only dressed up once in the last 20+ years and it was probably that long ago! It was for a contest at work to win a $100 gift certificate to an amazing restaurant. The rules were it had to be something specific to you. In those days, I drank Starbucks at least once a day (yes I was wasting a LOT of money), so I made a custom Starbucks drink cup with my drink on the side. And I won..... I never dressed up again LOL

    My all-time favorite costumes are those my mother made when my sister and I were young.  In 1968 mom made us these adorable clown costumes that I recall wearing the next year as well!

    Edit - I just read the original post again and see that I posted by 9:30 am, but in MST, not EST. :( bummer
