  • 1.  PowerBI scheduled refresh with Static Links for exports

    Hi,

    Has anyone else experimented with the static link generation & connecting it to PowerBI? I.e. The steps in this guide Generate static link - Genesys Cloud Resource Center (mypurecloud.com).

    I've followed these steps and it all works fine. I can view my export in PowerBI, it was able to retrieve the data correctly etc.

    The only issue is when it comes to the Scheduled Refresh. In the Genesys guide it just says to follow the steps for a scheduled refresh and links to the Microsoft docs, if I follow the Microsoft docs I can't really progress beyond the first stage, because it says the the data source doesn't support a scheduled refresh.

    The only data source in this PowerBI dashboard is the Python script from Genesys so - has anyone else been able to achieve this? Is it something I'm missing from PowerBI on my end or ...?

    It looks like it depends on the version of PowerBI that you're running.  From https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/refresh-data they list a matrix where the PowerBI Desktop version does not support a schedule refresh.  Are you running the Power BI service?
