I have raised an idea to request some pre-connect routing be added to PureCloud.
Other platforms allow you to deal with inbound calls
before sending a Connect event.
It's generally used where a Premium Rate number is allocated for inbound calls and legislation doesn't allow for these calls to be connected and charged unless you have available agents.
We have some other scenarios to where OutSourcers want the ability to send a Busy tone to their clients, allowing to take the call back. This doesn't incur call charges and removed the need for tromboning calls.

We are looking at other ways of delivering this function by building a service using the APIs that an SBC can call. That way we can control the call at the SBC level before it even hits PureCloud. However, having it in PureCloud would allow for data to be collected and reported on to give a full picture.
