Hello,
I have a question about the Predictive Engagement functionality for Genesys Cloud. Can I trigger a Web Messaging flow with an Action Map with just the PE snippet? Or, do I need to deploy the Web Messaging snippet, with the Web Tracking enabled, on the website to achieve that functionality?

Hello. For your use-case you need to deploy the snippet provided with Messenger, and enable Web Tracking. If you have already deploy the legacy GPE snippet on the page, that will have to be removed, as it cannot co-exist with newer Messenger-based snippet: this will include more, beyond Web Tracking, also new Co-browse and Knowledge Search later this year.

Got it. Thank you Angelo. So, would there be any reason to use the GPE snipipet at all moving forward? Or should we always recommend using the Web Messaging snippet, particularly because all new features that you mention will be linked with the Messenger-based snippet.

The path forward is to use the new snippet only, which is available as part of Messenger. The legacy standalone snippet will remain in place for older/existing deployments that rely on web chat.
