    Hi!

If you're talking about disabling the "What's on your mind" field, there is no feature yet based on this topic here. If you're talking about restrictions / filtering on what a user can put in it, there is no direct configuration but you can create a Process Automation Trigger and a Workflow that will check the field everytime it's being changed and do some logic with it. You can create a trigger from the v2.users.{id}.presence.

    Hi @Waleed Khan,

The "What's on your mind" field is part of the Collaborate feature in Genesys, & it does not provide a direct toggle or setting to disable this specific field alone.
The only supported way to remove this capability is by removing Collaborate access, which is controlled through license assignment and permissions.

Implement an internal compliance policy instructing users not to post sensitive or non-compliant content. Ofcourse you need to monitor the adherence.
    OR
You can raise an Enhancement Request via the Genesys Ideas Portal for a feature to disable or lock the "What's on your mind" field. If enough users need it & vote for it. Genesys will consider.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

Olá @Waleed Khan, saudações do Brasil!

There is no specific permission that explicitly "enables" the What's in your mind? field.

That field is part of the user presence/status experience, and in Genesys Cloud all users are allowed to update their own presence status by design.

    From a permissions standpoint:

    • Users implicitly have the ability to update their own presence, including the free-text status message.

    • This behavior is tied to the core presence capability and is not controlled by a removable or configurable permission.

    For clarity:

    • presence:presence:update (self-scope) is effectively always available to end users.

    • people:user:edit is not required for this - that permission controls profile attributes (name, email, etc.), not presence messages.

    • There is no role, division, or permission that allows you to disable, hide, or restrict only the free-text "What's in your mind?" field.

    So from a compliance perspective:

    • This feature cannot be restricted via permissions today.

    • Any control must be handled via policy, governance, monitoring, or predefined presence usage, not technical enforcement.

If compliance requires hard prevention of free-text presence messages, this would need to be raised as a Genesys Idea, as the current permission model does not support it.
